Hunza G vs Monday Swimwear: Which Is Right for You?
Two brands that dominate my feed for completely different reasons. Here is how they actually compare.
I get asked about these two constantly, and I understand why. Hunza G and Monday Swimwear both sit in that sweet spot where fashion meets actual wearability. But they could not be more different in approach, and the right choice depends entirely on what you are after.
The Fabric Story
Hunza G is all about that signature crinkle. The seersucker-style nylon-blend fabric is instantly recognisable and, love it or not, it is what makes the brand. It moulds, it stretches, it forgives. Monday Swimwear uses a buttery smooth fabric with serious compression. It holds you in, supports you, and feels more like traditional premium swimwear. If you want structure, Monday wins. If you want that effortlessly cool texture, Hunza G is your answer.
Sizing and Fit
This is where it gets personal. Hunza G famously does one-size and occasionally one-size-plus. The crinkle fabric stretches to accommodate roughly a UK 6 through 14, but I will be honest: if you are above a C cup, some styles flatten rather than flatter. The brand has improved here, but it is not universal. Monday Swimwear runs true to size with proper cup support, underwire options, and a range that genuinely works across body types. For anyone who needs actual bust support, Monday is the safer bet by a long stretch.
Price
Hunza G sits at £175 to £215 for most pieces, with some one-pieces pushing higher. Monday Swimwear comes in at £80 to £160, making it notably more accessible. Both hold up well over multiple seasons, so cost-per-wear is solid either way. But if you are buying your first investment bikini, Monday gives you more for less.
The Vibe
Hunza G is fashion-forward. It is the brand you see on fashion editors in Positano, paired with a linen shirt and gold jewellery. There is an art-crowd energy to it. Monday Swimwear is California ease. It is Natasha Oakley on a yacht, golden-hour selfie, effortlessly polished. Neither is better, they just attract different women with different wardrobes.
My Honest Take
If you are a smaller cup, love texture, and want something that feels fashion-first, go Hunza G. If you need real support, prefer a smoother finish, and want to spend a little less, Monday is hard to beat. I own both and reach for them in completely different moods. That probably tells you everything.
