What to Pack for Mykonos

By The Swim Edit · April 2026

Mykonos is not a "throw a sarong over your bikini" destination. It's Nammos at 2pm. Scorpios at sunset. Little Venice after dark. You need swimwear that doubles as going-out wear, and resort pieces that look effortless while being anything but.

The 10-Piece Mykonos Capsule

3 bikinis: One statement print (Zimmermann), one neutral (L*SPACE in espresso or sand), one bold colour (Bond-Eye in emerald or cherry).

1 one-piece: Black. Non-negotiable. Hunza G or Melissa Odabash. This is your beach club to dinner piece.

1 cover-up: A white linen shirt. Oversized. It goes over everything and photographs beautifully against white Cycladic walls.

1 kaftan: For the afternoon when you can't be bothered to change but want to look put-together. Melissa Odabash does these better than anyone.

1 evening dress: Something that moves. A slip dress or wrap dress in a colour that catches the sunset light. This is your Scorpios moment.

1 pair of linen trousers: Wide-leg, high-waisted. Pair with a bikini top for daytime, a silk cami for night.

Gold jewellery: Layered necklaces, statement earrings. Gold against tanned skin is the Mykonos uniform.

Flat sandals + one pair of heels: Leather slides for the beach. Strappy heels for the town. The cobblestones are unforgiving — choose wisely.

The Rule of Mykonos Packing

If it doesn't work in at least two outfits, leave it at home. Every piece should earn its place in your suitcase. Ten pieces, seven days, zero outfit repeats. That's the goal.
