What to Pack for Ibiza
By The Swim Edit · May 2026
Ibiza is not Marbella. It's not Mykonos. It's somewhere between a fashion editorial and a three-day fever dream, and your swimwear needs to keep up. You're going from Cala Comte at noon to Café del Mar at sunset to DC10 at midnight. Your suitcase should be curated, not crammed.
I've done the Ibiza circuit enough times to know what works and what you'll regret bringing. Here's the edit.
The Ibiza Swimwear Formula
A micro bikini for the beach clubs: This is non-negotiable. Ibiza beach clubs are a performance, and you want something that turns heads without trying too hard. Frankies Bikinis in a bold colour — cherry red, electric blue — or Bond-Eye's signature neoprene in a nude that looks like it was poured onto you. Shop Frankies on Amazon.
A printed set for the boat day: Every Ibiza trip involves a boat. You need something photogenic from every angle. Zimmermann prints photograph like nothing else — those hand-painted florals against turquoise water? Devastating. Shop Zimmermann on Amazon.
A black one-piece that does everything: Your day-to-night piece. Hunza G in black crinkle is the answer you've been looking for. Wear it to the beach. Throw a blazer over it for dinner at La Paloma. It's the hardest-working piece in your case. Shop Hunza G on Amazon.
A neutral bikini for the quiet days: Not every day in Ibiza is a scene. Sometimes you're at a quiet cala with a book and a bocadillo. L*SPACE in sand, taupe, or olive — understated, flattering, the kind of thing that makes people ask where you got it.
Beyond the Bikini
A sheer cover-up: Something floaty that moves when you walk. White or cream. You're not hiding — you're layering.
Linen co-ord: A matching shirt-and-trouser set in natural linen. This is your old town uniform. Roll the sleeves, wear with gold hoops and leather sandals.
One proper going-out outfit: A slinky midi dress or a cut-out bodysuit with wide-leg trousers. Ibiza after dark is surprisingly dressy at certain places — Lio, Heart, Cipriani.
Gold everything: Chunky chain necklace, stacked rings, ankle bracelet if you're feeling it. Gold against sun-kissed skin is the Ibiza signature.
Raffia bag, leather slides, one pair of heels: And sunglasses that cost more than your flight. That's the look.
The One Rule
Pack like an editor, not a tourist. Fewer pieces, better quality, everything interchangeable. Four swimsuits, six cover-ups, endless combinations. If you can't wear it two ways, it doesn't make the cut.
