The Frankies Bikinis x JENNIE Collection: Everything You Need to Know

I’ll be honest — when I first heard Frankies Bikinis was collaborating with JENNIE of BLACKPINK, I had two immediate reactions. First: of course they are. Second: this is going to sell out before I can even screenshot the pieces I want. And I was right on both counts.

The Frankies Bikinis x JENNIE collection is one of those collaborations that actually makes sense. Francesca Aiello has spent years building a brand that lives at the intersection of California cool and genuine quality, and JENNIE brings a fashion credibility that transcends her music career. She’s a Chanel ambassador. She sits front row at couture. She doesn’t just wear clothes — she makes them look like they were designed specifically for her. That energy is all over this capsule.

The Standout Pieces

Let’s talk about what’s actually in the collection, because there are some genuinely gorgeous pieces here. The Spring Stripe set is the one that caught my eye first — a retro-inspired candy stripe in the softest pastel palette. It feels very French Riviera, very “I definitely didn’t try this hard to look this good.” The triangle top with the adjustable ties is particularly flattering, and the high-cut brief gives it a modern edge without veering into impractical territory.

Then there’s the Ivory Crochet, which is the piece that will look incredible on your Instagram grid but also works beautifully as a genuine cover-up-to-beach transitional set. The crochet is dense enough that you’re not worried about transparency, and the ivory tone is warm rather than stark white, which is far more forgiving on every skin tone.

The Heaven Crochet rounds out the collection’s headliners. It’s a more intricate pattern than the Ivory, with a slightly more bohemian feel. Think Tulum beach club rather than Saint-Tropez yacht. Both crochet pieces run true to Frankies’ standard sizing, which tends to be fairly generous — if you’re between sizes, I’d size down.

Who Is This For?

Pricing sits in the £80 to £180 range depending on the piece, which positions it firmly in the accessible luxury category. You’re paying more than high street, but you’re getting fabric quality and construction that genuinely justifies it. The crochet pieces in particular feel like investment swimwear — the kind of thing you’ll reach for summer after summer.

If you’re a JENNIE fan, obviously this is a no-brainer. But even if K-pop isn’t your thing, the collection stands on its own merits. These are well-made, thoughtfully designed pieces that happen to have a celebrity collaboration attached. The Spring Stripe set alone would have caught my attention on any rack, JENNIE or no JENNIE.

My advice? Don’t sleep on the restocks. Frankies tends to do limited drops and then bring back bestsellers a few weeks later. Follow them on socials, turn on notifications, and be ready. The Ivory Crochet especially is going to be the piece of the summer — and I suspect it’ll be the first to permanently sell out.
