Best Bikinis for Big Busts

By The Swim Edit · April 2026

Finding a luxury bikini that actually supports a D+ cup without looking like a sports bra is one of life's genuine challenges. Most brands design for B cups and hope for the best. These don't.

What to Look For

Underwire: Not optional. A triangle top on a DD is not "brave," it's uncomfortable. Look for hidden underwire that provides structure without the rigid feel.

Wide straps: Thin spaghetti straps look great on smaller busts. On bigger busts, they dig in and create that uncomfortable pulling sensation. Go for wider straps or halterneck styles that distribute weight across the back of the neck.

High necklines: A plunge looks incredible but needs boning or structure to work on bigger busts. If you want cleavage without the constant adjustment, go for a sweetheart or balconette neckline instead.

Our Top Picks

Best overall: Melissa Odabash — their underwired styles go up to F cup and the cuts are genuinely sexy, not clinical.

Best for one-pieces: Hunza G — the crinkle-stretch fabric holds everything in place with a gentle compression that flatters rather than flattens. The square necklines work brilliantly for bigger busts.

Best for confidence: Monday Swimwear — designed by women with curves for women with curves. Their signature tops have adjustable straps and enough fabric for actual coverage.

Best on a budget: Seafolly — their DD+ range is excellent and about half the price of the luxury brands. Real underwire, real support, real style.

Best for going out: Zimmermann — their bandeau and structured styles work on bigger busts because of the boning and internal support. Plus they look like evening wear, not swimwear.

Styles to Avoid

Triangle tops without lining. Bandeau without boning. Anything with a single tie at the back of the neck (it'll stretch and you'll spend all day adjusting). And please, for the love of God, avoid those "one size fits all" string bikinis — they don't.
